AGILE: AGN in the LSST Era

In LSST we have developed AGILE (AGN in the LSST Era), an end-to end simulation software capable of anticipating Rubin-LSST observations. AGILE creates Rubin-LSST images andphotometric catalogs which include Galaxies, AGN and stars. Thanks to AGILE data we can now perform:1) AGN identification (morphology, colour–colour selection, variability) as function of survey progress2) AGN and host characterization (variability parameters, AGN properties, morphology, host-galaxy properties, photometric redshifts)

Together with the software we release a first Data Release (AGILE DR1) which consists of:

1. Truth products for 24deg2

  • truth catalog: 24 deg2 truth catalog of AGN, galaxies, and stars centered around the COSMOS field (J2000 10 00 24 +02 10 55)
  • SEDs of AGNs, galaxy bulges, and galaxy disks covering the wavelength range from 500 ang to 25 um.
  • AGN lightcurves for 10yrs in the LSST bands (ugrizy) •

2. Simulated images for the central 1 deg2 (21 detectors), 1441 visits, and 3 yrs of COSMOS

  • single-visit amplifier images from imSim
  • single-visit calexp images from the LSST Science pipelines
  • Coadded images from the LSST Science pipelines

3. Photometric catalogs for the central 1deg2, 1441 visits, and 3 yrs of COSMOS

  • single visit source catalogs
  • Co-added object catalogs
  • Forced photometry source catalogs
