Orbital evolution of AMXP in the context of non-conservative mass transfer

In this seminar I present:
1) a detailed discussion of the orbital evolution of SAXJ1808.4-3658 and other Accreting Millisecond Pulsar in the context of the Applegate & Shaham mechanism.
2) a discussion of the orbital evolution of AMXP in the context of
non-conservative accretion models, and in particular of the so called
Radio-Ejection hypothesis (Burderi et al. 2001, ApJ; Di Salvo et al. 2008, ApJ).
In particular I will apply these models to the orbital evolution of
the accreting millisecond pulsar SAXJ1808.
