Mass loss of AGB stars and RSG in the Magellanic Clouds

I will discuss recent work that I am involved in regarding the determination of
the mass-loss rates (MLRs) of a significant sample of Asymptotic Giant Branch stars and
Red Supergiants in the Magellanic Clouds. This mostly involves modelling the
spectral energy distributions to obtain dust MLRs, but we also used ALMA to detect CO emission
in a few LMC objects. I will also discuss possible ways forward in this field
